A primary character in the Star Wars universe. The Jedi Master to Anakin Skywalker, it was Obi-Wan that trained Anakin in the ways of the Force. It was also Obi-Wan that saw the fall of Anakin to the Dark Side and his rise as the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Years later, he would train Anakin's son, Luke Skywalker, in the ways of the Force, believing that Luke was the only hope for stopping Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. Along with Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), R2-D2 and C-3PO, he is one of only four characters to appear in all six Star Wars films. He is portrayed in the original trilogy by Alec Guinness and in the prequel trilogy by Ewan McGregor.
