Lightning McQueen is an anthropormorphic racecar and protagonist in the Pixar film Cars. A famous young racer, Lightning is cocky but likeable.

An up-and-coming rookie racer, Lightning is very talented and focused on his goal of winning the Piston Cup and become a champion. However, he is also very arrogant and self-centered, certain that he is the best and can overcome any problems alone. Over the course of the film, Lightning learns some humility and comes to realize that fame and winning is not necessarily the most important thing in life and comes to value friendship and love.
