Eeyore Original and Limited Edition Art

A creation of AA Milne, Eeyore is hardly ever happy and when he is, he's still sardonic and a bit cynical. The original version of Eeyore was rather caustic and sarcastic. He held a rather poor opinion of the other animals in the Hundred Acre Wood, despite their attempts of kindness towards him. His gloominess and general pessimism may stem from his tail which he is very fond of but has a tendency of losing.

The Disney version of Eeyore is less harsh but still depressed. Ironically, he seems to enjoy being gloomy to some extent, but nevertheless, he seems genuinely appreciative of the efforts of his friends to cheer him up. Eeyore's grumpiness might be attributed to the fact that his tail is affixed to his backside using a pushpin and has a tendency to fall off. He seems to be fond of his tail which explains why he becomes gloomy due to its tendency to fall off. He usually expects misfortune to happen to him, accepts it when it does and rarely even tries to prevent it. His catchphrases include "Thanks for noticin' me" and "Ohhh-kayyy".
