Maggie Simpson Original and Limited Edition Art

Maggie Simpson: Margaret "Maggie" Simpson is the youngest member of the Simpson family in The Simpsons, an animated sitcom created by Matt Groening.   Maggie is the youngest child of Homer and Marge Simpson in the town of Springfield. She is the younger sister of Bart and Lisa Simpson. Maggie is an infant, forever sucking on her pacifier and dressed in her blue sleep suit. Maggie cannot talk and cannot walk very far before tripping and falling on her face. Her silence and age have made her the least seen and heard character of the Simpson family.   Like average babies, Maggie is extremely impressionable and easily influenced by what she sees around her. Maggie developed violent tendencies after watching The Itchy and Scratchy Show, a cartoon cat and mouse duo a la Tom and Jerry, except that the mouse regularly and brutally tortures and kills the cat. Maggie, in imitation of the show, attacked Homer with a mallet, shot his picture with a dart gun and wielded a pencil like a knife. She has also shot Homer with a nail gun, amusing her. Maggie has shot Mr. Burns (accidentally) and shot a mob of gangsters threatening her father. Unlike average babies, Maggie is extremely aware of her surroundings and can often be seen imitating and reacting to the action around her. Maggie is very dextrous and agile, mental and physically far beyond her age. She has displayed this many times, such as grabbing onto a clothesline and climbing it hand-over-hand to get away from Homer. Maggie has also orchestrated an operation with other babies to sneak through a daycare, using a variety of improvised tools and the duct system, to get back their pacifiers. She has also shown a great degree of intelligence and creativity far beyond her age. Maggie can play the saxophone extremely well, can strategize, and has created a variety of creative items.   Despite her maturity and intelligence, Maggie is still a baby. She enjoys baby-ish activities, such as listening to nonsensical music made for babies and playing peek-a-boo. She can easily be driven to tears and still requires naps during the day. She was also afraid on her birthday when the sudden change in lighting and atmosphere and the sudden appearance of cameras startled her. Maggie naturally loves her mother, Marge, the most, simply by virtue of spending the most time with Marge. She is slightly afraid of her father, Homer, but does sincerely love him.
